There aren’t many things about my commute to the wilds of Surrey that I enjoy, but one thing that does make it bearable is staring out of the window listening to my awesome new autumnal playlist.

It’s precisely the right length to cover me from front door to getting off the train – the walk from the station to the office has to be soundtracked by something else, alas – and is dreamy enough (if I do say so myself) to keep me in a peaceful, sleepy, slightly comatose state for the whole commute. I don’t even glare at people for sitting near me anymore! Magical.

It’s also the only playlist I’ve ever made that I think my mum would enjoy, so thumbs up on that account too.

Autumn = the best.
